Caraway

The mature caraway is the relatively ripe fruits’ mericarp (Carum Carvi Linnaeus) from Umbelliferae family which bears fruit every 2 years.  

 

Yellow Cumin  

The mature light yellow cumin is the relatively ripe fruits’ mericarp which bears fruit every year and has the same characteristics as caraway and the only difference is that it is bigger than caraway.

 

Characteristics  

Owns its special scent and flavor and is devoid of molding smell and being stales smell - Is devoid of insects, dead insects or their visible body parts - Is devoid of Selerotina mushroom - Has less than %1 of external materials.

   

Green Cumin

 Mature Green Cumin is the fruit of a grass form plant named Cuminum. Cyminum Linnaeus from Umbelliferae family which is a formed of two drawn and joined together Mericarps and its dimensions are changeable according to the origin.

The length of the green Cumin is usually between 3 to 6 and its central section diameter is 1 to 2 mm. The mericarp’s color changes from gray to light brown and has 5 thin primary prominent lines with a pale color and 4 thicker and darker secondary prominent lines.
